WING COMMANDER Returns After 30 Years?! + More Retro News!

EA is bringing classic PC gaming back from the archives, including the legendary Wing Commander series! After nearly 20,000 classic game assets were discovered in storage, restoration efforts have helped bring some forgotten favorites back for modern players. But how much of that original PC gaming magic can these restored classics recapture?

This week on Bit By Bit, we’re digging into that remarkable story, plus seven more bits of retro gaming news!

Could physical PC games make a comeback thanks to GOG? Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered finally stomps onto modern platforms, while Thief: The Dark Project Remastered prepares for its December return.

We’re also checking out Xibalba 64, a new game for the Nintendo 64, and an incredible custom synthesizer built for Trent Reznor that incorporates an Atari 2600+!

Plus, legendary gaming journalist Jaz Rignall is looking to bring back the spirit of classic gaming magazines with Golden Age, and THE800XL reaches an important milestone on its road to production.

All that and just a little bit more on this week’s Bit By Bit!
