I wonder how many reviews are going to start with “He’s Baaack”?

So, let’s cut right to the chase here. How does this movie compare to the others in the Terminator series?

Here is my list from best to worse:

1. Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991)

2. The Terminator (1984)

3. Terminator Genisys (2015)

4. Terminator Salvation (2009)

5. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)

So , it’s not as good as the first two but better than any of the ones that came after. So, not bad!

Accepting the “timey wimey” (I feel that it is okay for me to use that phrase because Matt Smith is in this movie. Bonus geek points if you got that!) events that occurred that change everything we knew about the Terminator universe, the movie itself was pretty entertaining. Depending on how good your memory is of the original movie, you will see the famous “Chase of Reese through the department store after coming back in time” and other scenes that are both familiar and different. This does a good job of tying the movies together into a single story. Tough to do with these time travel plot lines! They even made it plausible that Arnold is a lot older.

One of the big problems I had with the movie was the casting of Emilia Clarke as Sarah Conner. Most would know her as the white haired dragon lady from Game of Thrones (I am not even going to try to figure out how to spell her characters name). It could be that I am just against anyone except Linda Hamilton playing the character. I mean, was she a bad ass in the second movie or what? I didn’t get that same bad assery feel from this actress. To put this negative into perspective though, the other thing that bugged me about this movie is how they spelled “Genesis”… Genisys?? Really?? lol

On a totally depressing point, do you realize that The Terminator came out 31 years ago!?!?!?!
