In a nostalgic throwback to retro, platformer classics, you’ll take on the role of a small but mighty Royal Mouse Guard. Go on a grand adventure that far outmatches your size as you gather up the celestial fragments that have covered your world, warping it and reviving the dead – including the protagonist.

Across this low-poly and non-linear tale, you’ll encounter critters and creatures, including furry friends and foes who want to test just how well you can wield your sword. Combat is challenging, stamina-based and not for those who squeak at the first sign of danger. Patterns and parries are key to success, though armour, weaponsets, and arcane abilities, can aid you.

Key Features of Mouseward:

  • Challenging Soulslike Combat: Engage in deliberate, stamina-based combat where every move matters. Learn the patterns of a bestiary of corrupted foes, master your parries and dodges, and choose the perfect moment to strike. Death is a lesson, not an end.
  • Vast Collectathon Worlds: Hunt for scattered star fragments, unlock powerful new abilities, and open secret paths in sprawling, non-linear levels packed with fearsome foes.
  • Customize Your Mouse Guard: Discover a variety of weapons, armor sets, and arcane abilities. Will you be a stoic knight with a sword and shield, a nimble archer who strikes from the shadows, or a powerful mage wielding the very power of the stars?
  • A Somber, Quirky Cast: Encounter a memorable cast of woodland critters, both friend and foe. Unravel their stories in a world that balances whimsical charm with an undercurrent of melancholy.

Mouseward will be released on PC via Steam. The demo is available via Steam now.

You can keep up to date with Mouseward by joining the Discord, and by following Finite Reflection Studios on Bluesky and YouTube.
