ATARI Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Wrong Kind of HORROR
Leatherface traded the movie screen for the Atari 2600—but did the horror survive the trip? Spooky season continues on Friday Plays with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Wizard Video Games’ 1983 adaptation that puts YOU behind the chainsaw.
I finally give this infamous cartridge a try, explore its unusual history, and take a look at an alternate prototype that helps explain something strange about the box art. There’s plenty of fuel for discussion… even if the chainsaw keeps running dry.
Did you ever encounter this one growing up? And what vintage game would you like to see on a future Friday Plays? Let me know in the comments!
