In 1986, Tecmo published the side-scrolling platformer, Rygar, to the arcades. I always enjoyed it, but found it to be pretty punishing and ended up costing me more tokens than I would’ve liked. So in 1990, when Atari released a translation of Rygar for the Lynx, I was immediately onboard. As a bonus, this version of Rygar turned out to have a gentler ramp-up in difficulty, meaning I could play longer and see more of the levels. And Rygar is still one of my Lynx favorites!
