The early ’80s was perfect timing for arcade ports on home computers. Arcades were still thriving and packed with what are now legendary games, and home computers like the C64 and Atari 8-bit (Atari 400/800/etc.) were so much more capable than early consoles, that they could much more closely duplicate the sound, visuals, and gameplay in a way that we’d never seen. THE400 Mini will be released in just a few weeks, and of its 25 included games, nearly thirty percent are Atari arcade games which had great home computer ports – but there are WAY more out there that are worth your time, so in this video I’m going to highlight twenty five more arcade games with Atari 8-bit ports that you’re going to want to try out.
