ATARI 1977 Video Pinball | SEVEN Pinball & Paddle Games In ONE Console!

Shop G'AIM'E Time Crisis Bundle: http://genxgrownup.com/gaime The Video Pinball brand is a series of first-generation single-player dedicated home video game consoles manufactured, released and marketed by Atari, Inc. starting in 1977. Bumper controllers on the sides or a dial on the front are used to control the games depending on the game selected. There are three game types in the first model of the Video Pinball series: Pinball, Basketball, and Breakout. The first model is based on the single chip 011500-11/C011512-05 ("Pong-on-a-chip") produced by Atari. Video Pinball allows 7 games—4 pinball variations, a basketball game, and two versions of Breakout (Breakout and a variant called Break Away)—for one to two players. The unit provides digital on-screen scoring, automatic serves, and color graphics. Video Pinball uses a microcontroller and a small amount of RAM rather than the "Pong on a chip" IC's that had been used in the slew of pong machines Atari Inc. had been releasing. Pinball was played primarily with the side bumper buttons, and Breakout and Basketball with the dial and top buttons. #atari #retrogaming #breakout #genxgrownup - LINKS Manual » https://archive.org/details/AtariVideoPinball/mode/2up - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS Numskull Facebook Group » https://genxgrownup.com/fbqa G'AIM'E Time Crisis » http://genxgrownup.com/gaime King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com - CHAPTERS 00:00 Atari Video Pinball 01:25 Box & Contents 04:47 Hardware Tour 07:33 Power On 08:55 Flipper Pinball 1 10:29 Paddle Pinball 1 11:27 Flipper Pinball 2 12:41 Paddle Pinball 2 13:15 Rebound 1 14:36 Rebound 2 14:49 Calamity & Dismantling 18:07 Breakout 20:48 Summary

Atari 1980 ULTIMATE Atari 2600 Tier List – ALL ’80 VCS GAMES RANKED

As the Atari Video Computer System turned three years old in 1980, the installed userbase of just over a million consoles had doubled to over 2 million. More consoles meant more gamers, and more gamers meant a growing demand for more games. Keeping up their established pace, Atari released just shy of a dozen new titles during 1980, and while some of their key talent had departed by the end of '79 to form Activision, 1980 would prove to be a breakout year with the release of what would become the console's first killer-app. In this video, I'll be ranking every VCS game Atari released in 1980. #atari #retrogaming #tierlist #genxgrownup - LINKS BASIC Programming footage courtesy @MissionEdPossible - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - CHAPTERS 00:00 Welcome to 1980 01:00 VCS Growth 02:01 3-D Tic-Tac-Toe 03:07 Adventure 04:50 BASIC Programming 06:42 Circus Atari 07:56 Dodge 'Em 08:28 Golf 10:20 Maze Craze 11:39 Night Driver 12:53 Space Invaders 14:10 Video Checkers 14:59 Summary

Launched in 1977, The Atari VCS turned four years old in 1981. The number units sold in '81 more than doubled from the previous year meaning greater than five million homes now had an Atari hooked up to the TV and were potential customers for new games. Slowing from previous years' schedules, Atari only rolled out only nine new games this year - with two of those being Sears exclusives. How did the runaway success of the previous year's Space Invaders influence this new roster AND, how would Atari shift to adapt to new competition? In this video, I'll be ranking every VCS game Atari released in 1981. #atari #retrogaming #tierlist #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com - CHAPTERS 00:00 Atari 1981 00:54 Taking a Breath 02:07 Asteroids 03:26 Missile Command 04:35 Othello 05:47 Pelé's Soccer 07:12 Steeplechase 08:37 Stellar Track 10:20 Super Breakout 11:23 Video Pinball 12:30 Warlords 13:42 Summary
