INFOGRAMES RELEASE APOGEE ENTERTAINMENTS’ FANTASY FPS WIZORDUM ON CONSOLE
Dallas, TX (September 23, 2025) – Today, Infogrames, a publishing label of Atari, released console versions of Apogee Entertainment’s Wizordum. A pixel art fantasy first-person shooter, Wizordum is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The game was previously released on PC in April, 2025 and is available via Steam and GOG.

Wizordum is a retro-style FPS with a magical twist, casting players as a powerful Mage on a quest to uncover the source of Chaos. Armed with an arsenal of maces, wands, spells and other magic items, players will battle their way through the world of Terrabruma in a dynamic blend of modern gameplay and classic 90s shooters. Players will battle across medieval and fantasy settings, fighting traditional sword-and-sorcery enemies like goblins, skeletons and ghosts. This mystical setting gives Wizordum a distinct identity among retro-inspired shooters.
Console players can now explore Wizordum’s treasure-filled environments, uncover hidden areas, solve mind-bending puzzles and survive deadly traps. With diverse weapons, gameplay mechanics and evolving challenges, players will need to stay sharp as they explore a richly designed world steeped in the nostalgic visuals of ‘90s-era shooters.

“Wizordum puts a magical twist on classic ‘90s shooters, setting it apart from other titles in the genre,” said Geoffroy Chateauvieux, CFO of Atari and General Manager, Infogrames. “It’s a game that rewards curiosity, and we’re excited for console players to uncover the many secrets Wizordum has hidden beneath the surface.”
Wizordum’s launch marks the beginning of a broader initiative between Infogrames and Apogee to bring Apogee’s catalog of games to modern consoles – both digitally and physically. Additional titles are already in the pipeline, with future announcements planned.
“We are thrilled to see our first partnership with Infogrames come to life with the launch of Wizordum,” said Scott Miller, CEO of Apogee Entertainment. “Wizordum is just the beginning of a long-term collaboration, and we can’t wait to share more exciting projects soon.”
Wizordum is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and GOG for $19.99.
