ATARI Battlezone on the 2600 | No Vectors, One Stick – STILL GREAT!

The year is 1999, and the nations of the earth have declared a world-wide peace plan. But there is a problem with the proposed truce. A council of military commanders has unleashed battalions of automated weapons into the countryside. These aerial fighters, flying saucers, tanks, and supertanks will turn the world into a lifeless landscape unless you can stop them. Luckily, you’ve discovered an old military tank hidden inside a museum. Use your joystick to steer the tank as you search for enemy automatons. Since your electronic periscope only gives you a front view from the tank, you’ll have to rely heavily on your radar screen to detect the enemy. If you see a blip on the radar, you need to move fast! Use your joystick to turn your tank until the enemy appears on the screen; press the red controller button to fire your turret gun. #atari #retrogaming #battlezone #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com

In the early '80s, when an arcade game became a standout hit, it was a race to get a verison of it onto home consoles. And no home console at the time was better suited to take on the challenge of this graphical juggernaut than the shiny new powerhouse: ColevoVision. #retrogaming #sega #colecovision #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS Fightbox » https://genxgrownup.com/fightbox King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com

Shop X-Arcade: https://genxgrownup.com/xgaming When ModRetro launched the Chromatic, one of the biggest questions was whether it would become a thriving platform or simply a great handheld with a limited software library. Fast forward to today, and new releases continue to arrive—including Atari's new '90s Rewind Collection, featuring remastered versions of Asteroids '92, Centipede '98, and Super Breakout '99. With the M64 on the horizon, many retro gamers are asking the same question again: will ModRetro continue supporting new hardware after launch? In this video, I take a look at Atari's Chromatic release and what it might tell us about the ModRetro's long-term commitment to its growing retro ecosystem. - LINKS (relevant links mentioned in video) - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS Fightbox » https://genxgrownup.com/fightbox King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com - CHAPTERS 00:00 M64 to Chromatic 01:45 Box & Contents 03:15 Super Breakout 05:08 Asteroids 10:55 Centipede 14:15 Summary
