RG52 MINI: A Budget Handheld Without the Homework?

Shop AISLPC: genxgrownup.com/AISLPC
What if you want a retro gaming handheld without making it your next project? The AISLPC RG52 Mini costs about a hundred bucks—but how much can it do with its pre-installed software loadout?

Instead of replacing the firmware and building my own game library, I’m exploring what this Linux-based handheld offers with its stock setup. We’ll check out the controls, menus, included games, built-in Wi-Fi download service, and some surprisingly capable PlayStation Portable emulation. Then we’ll connect it to a TV for big-screen play.

With a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display, dual analog sticks, Hall effect triggers, and a 5,000mAh battery, there’s plenty here on paper. But is it a good fit for someone who just wants to turn it on and PLAY?

Please note: the included commercial game ROMs and built-in download service are not a licensed game collection.

What would you play first—PSP games or some older favorites? Let us know in the comments!
