Backtrack: Choose Your Own Adventure Books

About This Episode

You are walking down a path and you see a dragon blocking your way. If you want to fight the dragon, turn to page 3. If you want to talk to the dragon, turn to page 4. If you want to throw rocks at the dragon…. well, you can’t. Why would anybody want to throw rocks at a dragon? Anyway, Choose Your Own Adventure books gave us an opportunity to feel in control at an age where we didn’t have a lot of control in our day-to-day lives. Come join us as we reminisce about those wonderful adventures we had reading these gems.

  1. Hey gang,
4th listener Paul here and I wanted to let you know that the series of Lone Wolf books are all available for free online. I have most of them but hit a stumbling block when I got to finding book 12. This website, https://www.projectaon.org/ Project Aon has all of them online for ease of use. It also has some online tools to make playing them a little easier. On top of that there is a link to books 1-5 downloads for the DS if people want to play them that way.
Hope this helps someone out there trapped and with the need for some solo D&Dish adventure.
