If, like me, you were ever put off emulating & playing some of the more "complex" Intellivision games because you were unsure how to handle mapping that numpad to your modern controller, let's help you get over that unwarranted concern! #retrogaming #retroarch #tutorial #genxgrownup - LINKS Diagnostic ROM » https://forums.atariage.com/topic/257396-input-device-test-program-in-intybasic-hand-controllers-and-keyboards/#comment-3609390 - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com

CAVEMAN is a color tabletop electronic game released by the Japanese toy company TOMY in 1982. A prehistoric caveman must steal eggs from a fire-breathing dinosaur while avoiding flying dragons and volcanic lava. In each level of the game you must collect 8 eggs to advance to the next level. To steal an egg laid by the dinosaur move the caveman to the egg. After reaching the egg, the caveman must wait until it blinks before he can carry it back to the cave. If an egg is not taken away within 8 seconds, the egg will hatch into a baby dinosaur and escape. The first egg retrieved is placed at the entrance of the cave. When the caveman brings a second egg, the first one moves into the cave for 50 points. When a total of eight eggs have been put into the cave, 200 bonus points are added to the score, and the game advances to the next level. The dinosaur moves his head at random. The movements are slow in the amateur (AMA) game and faster in the professional (PRO) game. If the caveman approaches when the dinosaur is breathing fire, the caveman will lose one life. The caveman can temporarily knock out the dinosaur if he hits it with the axe when it's standing upright, earning the caveman 30 additional points and time to safely steal the egg. Dragons fly overhead looking to steal eggs from the entrance of the cave. In the amateur (AMA) game there is only one dragon, while the professional (PRO) game has two. If there is an egg at the entrance of the cave the dragon may swoop down to take the egg away, however a dragon can not steal an egg if the caveman is at the entrance guarding the egg. A dragon can be brought down before it passes over the entrance of the cave by a direct hit with the stone axe, scoring 10 points. At higher levels of the game a volcano erupts shooting hot lava into the air. When the lava hits the caveman on the head, he dies, but he can safely pass by lava that falls below his head. #retrogaming #vintage #thrift #genxgrownup - SHOP Flarp Noise Putty » https://amz.cx/3MgT http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - CHAPTERS 00:00 Tron to Caveman 01:49 First Look 02:35 Initial Test 03:37 Magic Paste 05:48 Scrub & 2nd Test 07:15 Cleanup 11:03 Dismantling 11:50 Interior Blowout 12:54 Hardware Tour 14:21 Power On 19:50 PRO Mode 20:00 Summary

Solar Fox is an outer-space arcade game where you MUST keep on the move! See MORE Friday Plays NOW: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnH98BEzdY8&list=PL13zHeyDr6xswcm1YMnJivU0jefJIOLcb&ab_channel=GenXGrownUp Solar Fox is an arcade game released in 1981 by Bally Midway. It was ported to the Atari 2600 console and was also released as a Commodore-published cartridge for the Commodore 64 computer in 1983. The player's task is to pilot a starship through a series of squared solar cell matrixes inside a rack. While capturing the cells the player must dodge waves of fireballs that are being thrown by Sentinels. These Sentinels move continuously along the perimeter of each cell formation. When an entire field of squares is completed (by flying through each square), the game advances to the next rack. The faster a matrix is cleared, the more points are received. #atari #retrogaming #gameplay #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com - CHAPTERS

ELEVATE Your Atari VCS & 7800 Controllers with These Accessories!

If you watch regularly, then you'll remember my buddy, Paul, who does 3D industrial design and runs an Etsy store full of cool enhancements for our gaming gadgets. One very common question he gets is, "I like this particular design, but could you do such-and-such to enhance it? Or maybe make a another version compatible with this other gizmo?" Unsurprisingly, he takes all of those comments to heart and in response, he's just rolled out some new, evolved versions of some enhancements he had previously released, and he's given me the opportunity to share them here with you. #atari #retrogaming #genxgrownup - LINKS CX-78 Button Relocator » https://www.etsy.com/listing/1841885528/button-1-relocator-only-for-your VCS Classic Joystick Balls » https://www.etsy.com/listing/1864893304/two-atari-vcs-ball-toppers-with-stand Pocket Player Grip » https://www.etsy.com/listing/1853515207/my-arcade-grip-accessory-for-pocket CX-40 Ball-Topper » https://www.etsy.com/listing/1851266999/two-atari-375mm-ball-toppers-for-cx-40 Arcade Stands & Toppers » https://www.etsy.com/listing/1837176894/dual-arcade-style-5130mm-tall-40mm-ball Bat-L-Zone Rig » https://www.etsy.com/listing/1837188962/bat-l-zone-tank-command-station-for GSP Ball Topper » https://www.etsy.com/listing/1851313515/two-gsp-40mm-ball-toppers-for-my-arcade Pole Position Wheel Expander » https://www.etsy.com/listing/1835583747/rubberized-2-steering-wheelcolor GR78+ Grip » https://www.etsy.com/listing/1828401057/gr78-grip-accessory-for-the-atari-cx78 CX78+ Joystick Kit » https://www.etsy.com/listing/1824490859/joystick-accessory-set-for-the-atari GSP Paddle v1 » https://www.etsy.com/listing/1761657381/atari-46mm-game-station-pro-easy-slip GSP Paddle v2 » https://www.etsy.com/listing/1776757816/atari-gsp-37mm-1-716-easy-slip-onoff - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com - CHAPTERS 00:00 My Buddy Paul 01:05 CX-78+ Button Relocator 05:29 Modern VCS Ball-Top 10:40 Pocket Player Pro Grip
