“Troll” is such a strong word for this 2D platformer with nearly 240 uniquely inventive levels. Don’t let screaming YouTubers convince you that this game is unfair. It’s fair. Sure, there are buzzsaws but they’re NICE buzzsaws. You will curse the guy who made Level Devil then ask for more. #indiegame #vhs #video #genxgrownup - LINKS Level Devil on Steam » https://store.steampowered.com/app/3242750/Level_Devil/ - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com

The NeoGeo AES+ was shaping up to be one of the most exciting new pieces of retro hardware this year — but now fans are going to be waiting a whole lot longer. The hardware-accurate NeoGeo revival has been pushed all the way into September 2027, and we’re digging into what caused the major delay. Plus, GOG takes game preservation beyond the games themselves with printable classic PC big-box extras, Super Smash Bros. Melee reaches a huge decompilation milestone after years of work, and the new Metal Slug Ultimate Collection packs ten games together with online co-op. We’ve also got a major RPCS3 breakthrough that makes physical PS3 discs much more useful on PC, another surprising development in the never-ending Amico saga, a modern reimagining of Lara Croft’s original Tomb Raider adventure, and a compact 4:3 retro gaming monitor built with classic consoles in mind. It’s eight bits of retro gaming news, all packed into this week’s Bit By Bit! #NeoGeo #RetroGaming #SNK #GamePreservation #MetalSlug #TombRaider #ClassicGaming #BitByBit - LINKS NeoGeo AES+ Delayed - https://tinyurl.com/498wbpxe GOG Big-Box Preservation Extras - https://tinyurl.com/yc29phfs Super Smash Bros. Atari has brought back the 2600 and 7800, and now there’s an Intellivision Sprint. So why not complete the collection with a ColecoVision+? I’d love a modern console that plays my original ColecoVision cartridges. But the more I think about what Atari could actually offer alongside one, the more complicated that dream becomes. Let’s look at the games, the licenses, and what “Plus” would mean for someone starting without a shelf full of cartridges. Would you buy a ColecoVision+? Let me know what you’d expect it to include - or at least be available to purchase. #retrogaming #atari #vintage #genxgrownup @atari - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv - CHAPTERS 00:00 ColecoVision Plus 01:15 Classic Console Poetry 01:58 After the Hardware 03:08 Imagine an Acquisition 04:06 IP Licenses 04:40 Flashback Precedent 06:07 How Far Might Atari Go? 07:05 Split Conversation 07:57 Aftermarket Impact 09:10 Flashback & Homebrew 10:00 What Do You Want?

Pac-Man & Chomp Chomp is a little-known and somewhat puzzling classic arcade game, and one that we don’t remember playing in the arcades at all. Releasing in 1983 shortly after the Saturday morning cartoon, it introduces Pac-Man’s dog, Chomp Chomp, as an assistant running around the puzzle helping (or not helping) Pac-Man deal with the […]

Own Pac-Man Picnic » amzn.to/2YjPruw In 1980, Pac-Man went on a picnic and the ghosts dressed up like ducks in an attempt to steal fruit from the picnic basket. Now, doesn’t that sound like the kind of story you’d like to hear more about? If so, you’re in luck! Watch this charming little book & […]
