Shop Fightbox: https://genxgrownup.com/fightbox Released in 1983, the Bentley Compu-Vision arrived at a very strange moment in video game history. By then, the industry had already moved beyond simple Pong-style systems and into cartridge-based consoles like the Atari 2600 and ColecoVision, making the Compu-Vision feel almost like a throwback the moment it hit store shelves. Despite the futuristic name and sleek woodgrain styling, this was still a dedicated first-generation “Pong clone” console, featuring built-in paddle games like Tennis, Soccer, Squash, and Solo Handball. In this video, we’re going to clean up this forgotten piece of early ’80s gaming history, see if it still works more than 40 years later, and put it through its paces on a modern display. Was the Bentley Compu-Vision truly “too little, too late” for 1983, or is there still some fun hidden inside this late-era Pong machine? Let’s hook it up and find out. - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS Fightbox » https://genxgrownup.com/fightbox King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com - CHAPTERS 00:00 1983 Compu-Vision 01:45 Box & Contents 04:52 Manual 06:02 Hardware Tour 07:38 Cleanup 10:35 Power On 13:20 Game Samples 18:18 Summary

Shop Fightbox » https://genxgrownup.com/fightbox For a while now, Venture has been one of the most requested games in my ColecoVision Friday Plays series. After hearing "Play Venture!" over and over in the comments, I finally took your advice. I expected one of the ColecoVision's finest arcade conversions. What I discovered was something even more interesting: a game with surprising depth, clever room-by-room design, and a reputation that suddenly made perfect sense. This week, I'm diving into Venture for the ColecoVision to see why this early Exidy arcade classic has remained such a favorite for more than four decades. - SHOP Shop Fightbox » https://genxgrownup.com/fightbox http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS Fightbox » https://genxgrownup.com/fightbox King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com

Become a GXG Insider: https://genxgrownup.com/insider Cosmic Creeps is one of the Atari 2600’s most overlooked games -- and one of the easiest to misunderstand without the manual. In this Friday Plays, I take a closer look at this obscure Telesys release, explain how its unusual two-part gameplay works, and find out whether this forgotten Atari game is actually worth playing. #atari #retrogaming #rare #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS Fightbox » https://genxgrownup.com/fightbox King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com

Strategy X began as a 1981 Konami arcade game before reaching the Atari 2600 in 1983—one of just three games Konami published for the system. It should have been something special. Instead, it feels unfinished, unfair, and barely play-tested. This week on Friday Plays, I revisit a game I once skipped and ask: Am I missing something, or is it really this bad? #atari #retrogaming #atari2600 #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv
