About The Author

Mo As someone who barely manages to squeeze in as a GenXer my memories include more of the 70's than those younger GenXers. Reading and movies are my passions with some video gaming thrown in there for good measure!

  1. Sorry guys. I love listening to you guys go back and forth but just don’t get enough time to keep up.

With that in mind, I have a car you didn’t mention that is probably my favorite, and while associated in my mind with a truly iconic show we all remember and love and you guys talked about multiple times in this cast, it’s only associate loosely. I think it was the first season of Miami Vice that there was another show that started as either the lead-in, or follow show. Lead-in, if memory serves at this age, but you know how that goes. Right George?

The show was Stingray with Nick Mancuso. Kind of an Equalizer meets Reacher with a little bit of Rockford and A-Team salt and peppered in for flavor. The fight scenes definitely did not age well, but to me there is no more beautiful car in television than that ’65 black Stingray he drove. Truly a work of art! And for the record, I am NOT a Vette guy. Past ’72 I have zero appreciation for them. There’s a few from those early years, though. Man!

Just thought I should point out, if not a glaring omission, maybe at least an unfortunate one. So says the opinion of this guy, anyways.

Oh, and while I’m here. The truck on Knight Rider that he’d pull up into and drop out of on the fly? You guys mentioned it in passing, but not as a vehicle in its own right. Now, come on! Who didn’t see that and think, “Holy shit! That’s what I need when I’m old enough to drive. I mean, it’s just obvious.” And I’ll take the mechanic, too. Shhh….
