In 1981, Coleco secured the exclusive rights to bring Nintendo’s arcade hit, Donkey Kong, to home consoles – and the first stop was for their own fledgling system, the ColecoVision. Widely regarded as the worst version of the classic, this DK looked like junk, sounded like a mess, played like trash, and other assorted lies I told my yonger self to help ease my jealousy because it was so damn good!
