Early last year, My Arcade announced the Atari Gamestation Portable - a handheld evolution of their popular Gamestation Pro. With more control types than any other single handheld, it’s had our minds reeling with possibilities. Now that the renamed Gamestation Go (or “GSG”) is finally hitting shelves, is it the right Atari handheld for you? I’m gonna try to help you answer that question in this video review. The brand new Atari Gamestation Go is one of the most ambitious handhelds I’ve ever laid my hands on, let alone reviewed. Loaded with just about every type of controller input - d-pad, buttons, triggers, trackball, spinner, & numpad - it promises to allow us to play the widest variety of Atari classics with their correct and original input methods. The GSG was first expected to release late 2024, but My Arcade instead went back into the lab for further development.
