1988’s FLAMING INFERNO LCD | Like Frogger, but With Fire, Ladders, & Bricks

Playtime Electronics released this "Flaming Inferno" LCD game in 1988, and that's almost all I can find out about it online! It's a bit of a Frogger knock-off, but worth giving a look. #retrogaming #handheld #lcd #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com - CHAPTERS 00:00 Flaming Inferno 02:04 Hardware Tour 03:57 "No" Instructions 05:03 Checking the Guts 06:50 Battery & Screen 08:52 Game 11:56 Super Game 13:32 Game Again 15:06 Summary

STICK on the LEFT & BUTTONS on the RIGHT Is Not for Everyone!

You've surely noticed that almost every modern game controller puts the directional controls on the left and the action buttons on the right. Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo -- pretty much everybody. But here’s the thing - That layout wasn't always the standard. In fact, some of the earliest home console controllers were ambidextrous, or even designed to be held in the left hand while working the joystick with the right. So how did we end up with the layout we all take for granted today, and is it wrong? #retrogaming #handheldgaming #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com

STEALTH on Atari Home Computers | Fly Low & DEMOLISH the DARK TOWER!

Stealth is a pseudo-3D rail shooter designed by Tracy Lagrone and Richard Sansom published in 1984 by Broderbund for the Atari 8-bit computers and Commodore 64. The player's mission in Stealth is to pilot a low-level bomber-fighter ship to infiltrate enemy territory and travel a distance of 10,000 miles to reach and destroy the Black Tower (enemy citadel). The ship uses pulse energy for power, so the player must keep an eye on the fuel supply in addition to avoiding obstacles and shooting enemies. Energy fields are randomly scattered around the planet. The yellow ones contain fields of positive energy that can be used to refuel the player's ship. On the other hand, there are also red, negative energy fields that will drain the ship of energy. On the way to the Black Tower, the player has to watch out for enemy bunkers, tanks, rockets, reconnaissance planes and fighters. Additionally, the player must destroy the radar towers, because a failed attempt to destroy them automatically triggers the launch of a homing missile. The game has five levels, and each successive level is much more difficult. #atari #retrogaming #vintage #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com
