How well can you do in Fire Fighter without using a drop of water? See MORE Friday Plays NOW: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tWfm2jXaC0&list=PL13zHeyDr6xswcm1YMnJivU0jefJIOLcb&ab_channel=GenXGrownUp Fire Fighter is a video game written by Brad Stewart for the Atari 2600 published by Imagic in 1982. The player uses fire fighting equipment in an attempt to extinguish the fire in a tall building and rescue the occupant. The player moves a fire fighter around a non-scrolling screen to spray water on fires in a building, the size of which may vary between levels depending on options selected by the player. If the fire rises high enough, the person will wait on the roof until the fire burns itself out. At any time, the player can extend a ladder from a fire truck to rescue the person from the building so long as no fire exists on that floor. #atari #retrogaming #fridayplays #genxgrownup - LINKS Wikipedia » https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_Fighter_(video_game) - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com

Atari 2600 PAC-MAN | What Caused This 1982 Pac to Be SUB-PAR?

Pac-Man is a 1982 maze video game developed and published by Atari, Inc. for the Atari 2600 (originally known as the Atari Video Computer System) as a port of Namco's 1980 arcade game of the same name. The player controls the title character, who attempts to eat all of the wafers in a maze while avoiding four ghosts that pursue him. Eating flashing wafers at the corners of the screen causes the ghosts to temporarily turn blue and flee, allowing Pac-Man to eat them for bonus points. Once eaten, a ghost is reduced to a pair of eyes, which return to the center of the maze to be restored. Pac-Man was programmed by Tod Frye and took six months to complete. Expecting high sales, Atari produced more than a million copies of the highly anticipated game and held a "National Pac-Man Day" on April 3, 1982 to promote its release. Pac-Man remains the best-selling Atari 2600 game of all time, selling over 8 million copies, and was the all-time best-selling video game for several years. Despite its commercial success, the game was panned by critics for its poor graphics and sound, as well as for bearing little resemblance to the original arcade game. Since its release, it has been considered one of the worst video games ever made and one of the worst arcade ports released on the system. #atari #retrogaming #pacman #genxgrownup @atari - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com

? ATARI 2600 Basic Programming LIVE! – The Keypads, The Manual, and ALL

BASIC Programming is an Atari 2600 cartridge that teaches simple computer programming. It was released in 1979 and was one of only a few non-gaming cartridges designed for the console. The programming language is similar to dialects of BASIC. Up to nine lines of programming code could be entered in a basic-esque programming language, using both of the Atari 2600 keypad controllers. Due to a 64 character limitation, and the Atari's own RAM size of 128 bytes, only extremely simple programs could be written and executed. Intended as a learning tool, BASIC Programming was not intended for serious programming, indeed, there is no way to permanently store a program once written, as the Atari lacks recordable media. #atari #basic #retrogaming #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com
