Unlike so many early electronic games built around chasing an endless high score, this one gives you something to shoot for — and if we can reach 999 points, there’s even a little victory celebration waiting for us. Cosmic Combat was released by Tomy in 1980, made in Japan, and is generally identified as model 7602. It runs on four C-cell batteries and comes from that fascinating period when dedicated electronic games were finding all kinds of creative ways to put an arcade-style experience into your hands.
