Nintendo Wants $4.5M From a Reddit Mod?!

Hey there, welcome back to GenXGrownUp — I’m George, and this is Bit By Bit! Nintendo is at it again, this time going after a Reddit moderator with a massive $4.5 million piracy claim. The mod allegedly helped spread Nintendo Switch game files and ignored the lawsuit — and now the company wants to make a very expensive example out of him. But that’s not the only retro gaming news this week! Namco is bringing back history with its very first in-house arcade game — designed by none other than the creator of Pac-Man himself — as part of the latest Arcade Archives release. And to top it off, the MAME emulator just got a big update, now supporting ARM-based Windows devices, which could open the door for smoother emulation on handheld PCs and future retro handhelds. It’s a big week for retro gaming, legal drama, and emulation evolution — let’s dig into it! ? Don’t forget: Subscribe, hit that like button, and share it with your retro-loving friends so you don’t miss the next drop of Bit By Bit! ? ATARI Robotron: 2084 for the 7800 | Defend Humanity From the Robotic Uprising!

The original Robotron: 2084 hit arcades in 1982, and its frantic dual-stick gameplay and sound design was a hit with players, making it an obvious choice to bring to the home market. Atari created a port of Robotron for their 7800 console in 1984, but like the console itself, it sat on the shelf until finally hitting stores in May of 1986. The premise of Robotron, while set in the still-distant future of 2084, hits a bit close to home for those of us here in 2026: "At first it was a technological breakthrough. Humans created the Robotrons -- a species of robots so advanced they didn't need their inventors in order to think and act. But the Robotrons have turned on their creators! They're now determined to destroy humanity -- or reprogram the survivors, turning them into destructive mutants!" #atari #retrogaming #arcade #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com

STEALTH on Atari Home Computers | Fly Low & DEMOLISH the DARK TOWER!

Stealth is a pseudo-3D rail shooter designed by Tracy Lagrone and Richard Sansom published in 1984 by Broderbund for the Atari 8-bit computers and Commodore 64. The player's mission in Stealth is to pilot a low-level bomber-fighter ship to infiltrate enemy territory and travel a distance of 10,000 miles to reach and destroy the Black Tower (enemy citadel). The ship uses pulse energy for power, so the player must keep an eye on the fuel supply in addition to avoiding obstacles and shooting enemies. Energy fields are randomly scattered around the planet. The yellow ones contain fields of positive energy that can be used to refuel the player's ship. On the other hand, there are also red, negative energy fields that will drain the ship of energy. On the way to the Black Tower, the player has to watch out for enemy bunkers, tanks, rockets, reconnaissance planes and fighters. Additionally, the player must destroy the radar towers, because a failed attempt to destroy them automatically triggers the launch of a homing missile. The game has five levels, and each successive level is much more difficult. #atari #retrogaming #vintage #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com
