ATARI 2600’s Subterranea | The THINKING Underground Shooter

Subterranea is an arcade-style shoot 'em up game for the Atari 2600 where players control a spacecraft, the Cave Ranger, to shoot enemies and descend through increasingly difficult subterranean caverns. The game is divided into two stages: first, a battle against the creature called the Hexuplex at the top of the screen to earn a Treasure Crystal, and then, a descent into the caverns to shoot targets and pass through a laser-like "Electro-Gate" to reach the next level. The ultimate goal is to collect crystals, descend to deeper levels, and survive against faster enemies and narrower tunnels. #atari #retrogaming #imagic #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS Keys of Fury » https://keysoffury.com King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com

Your mission is to blast your way through several phases of artery obstacles and destroy a life threatening Blood Clot. Once inside the patient's bloodstream, your sub will be carried along in a steady forward motion. Tilt the joystick forward to increase your speed or backward to slow down or back up slightly. Your sub is equipped with medical technology's finest laser ray. Press the joystick button to activate it. Hold the button down for continuous fire. You may pause the game at any time during the play by flipping the Color/B-W switch. #atari #retrogaming #highscore #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com

Atari Announces I, ROBOT Arcade Game Reboot | Jeff Minter’s Reimagining

Brand new from Atari today - a reimagining of the arcade game, I, Robot! Jeff Minter is back with another unique take on a 1980s Atari arcade game: I, Robot. Reimagined in Minter’s signature assault of colors, shapes and sounds, this new take on the eclectic arcade title is built from the ground up with new challenges, new twists, and a whole lot of llamas. The premise of I, Robot is simple: You take control of an ox-headed robot on a mission to outwit the all-seeing eye. In each level, you’ll navigate across tiles, flipping each tile to proceed to the next. Make sure you don’t jump while the eye’s watching, or you’ll be zapped away in a flash. If you make it across the tiles, you’ll race down a tube blasting away any enemy shapes that move into your path and try to stop you. And you have to do all this inside of the 3D space of Minter’s kaleidoscopic visualizer. Don’t get too comfortable, Minter has also thrown in some arena levels that challenge you to pick out and blast an onslaught of lethal enemies. At its core it is a game that only Llamasoft could have made. A cacophony of colors dazzle your eyes as the music gradually builds up based on your progress. If you want to take a break from the arcade action, jump into the ungame, where you can channel your inner Jeff Minter and play around with all the sights and sounds from the game. Features 55 levels with a variety of challenges to conquer in each Unique tube-shooter bonus stages between each level Llamasoft's unique brand of mind melting visuals Procedural music that builds as you rack up a high score Earn your bragging rights in the online leaderboards #atari #retrogaming #arcade #genxgrownup @atari ???
