By then, the industry had already moved beyond simple Pong-style systems and into cartridge-based consoles like the Atari 2600 and ColecoVision, making the Compu-Vision feel almost like a throwback the moment it hit store shelves. Despite the futuristic name and sleek woodgrain styling, this was still a dedicated first-generation “Pong clone” console, featuring built-in paddle games like Tennis, Soccer, Squash, and Solo Handball.
