Atari 1982 ULTIMATE Atari 2600 Tier List – ALL ’82 VCS GAMES RANKED

Shop Fightbox: https://genxgrownup.com/fightbox The Atari VCS entered 1982 as the undisputed king of home video games. Millions of consoles had found their way into living rooms, arcade games were becoming cultural phenomena, and Atari was firing on all cylinders. The result was one of the most ambitious years in the system's history. In 1982, Atari released sixteen new cartridges for the VCS, including arcade adaptations like Berzerk, Defender, and Vanguard, groundbreaking originals such as Yars' Revenge and Haunted House, ambitious adventures like Raiders of the Lost Ark and Star Raiders, and even the infamous E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. But which of these games still hold up? Which were the best examples of Atari operating at the peak of its creativity? And which ambitious ideas failed to live up to their potential? In this video, I'll be ranking every game Atari released for the VCS in 1982 through the eyes of Little Jonny—the thirteen-year-old Atari fanatic who was there to experience many of them firsthand. #atari #retrogaming #tierlist #genxgrownup @atari - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS Fightbox » https://genxgrownup.com/fightbox King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com - CHAPTERS 00:00 Atari in 1982 02:19 Berzerk 03:20 Defender 04:27 Demons to Diamonds 05:33 E.T. the Extraterrestrial 07:02 Haunted House 08:11 Math Gran Prix 09:13 Pac-Man 10:35 Raiders of the Lost Ark 13:20 RealSports Baseball 14:33 RealSports Football 15:45 RealSports Volleyball 16:52 Star Raiders 18:15 Submarine Commander 19:26 Swordquest: Earthworld 20:50 Vanguard 22:08 Yars' Revenge 23:40 Conclusion

Atari 2600 Basketball | Early Rubber Band AI in ACTION!

Basketball is a sports video game programmed by Alan Miller for the Atari Video Computer System (later renamed to the Atari 2600) and published by Atari, Inc. in 1978. The cartridge presents a game of one-on-one basketball and can be played by one or two players, one of the few early VCS titles to have a single-player mode with an AI-controlled opponent. Miller wrote a version of Basketball for Atari 8-bit computers with improved graphics, published in 1979. That same year, an arcade version similar to the computer port was released by Atari, but in black and white. #atari #retrogaming #basketball #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com
