A foldable gaming handheld is officially on the menu ??? This week on Bit By Bit, we’re digging into the OneXSugar “Wallet” concept—what a folding OLED could mean for handheld play, retro emulation, and even that “dual-screen” vibe without a giant hinge gap. Then we pivot to a must-have SNES accessory: the SN Operator. If you’ve got a shelf full of Super Nintendo carts, this thing aims to make playing (and backing up saves) on modern hardware way easier. And finally… a spicy nostalgia check ? We’re talking about a list of classic ’80s games that “aged badly”—and debating what still rules today vs what deserves a remake, a patch, or a respectful retirement. ? Sound off in the comments: Would you buy a foldable handheld? Would you pick up an SN Operator? Which ’80s game holds up the BEST today? ? Like, ? subscribe, and share this with a fellow retro fan! The Aquarius is a home computer designed by Radofin and released by Mattel Electronics in 1983. Based on the Zilog Z80 microprocessor, the system has a rubber chiclet keyboard, 4 kB of RAM, and a subset of Microsoft BASIC in ROM. It connects to a television set for audiovisual output, and uses a cassette tape recorder for secondary data storage. A limited number of peripherals, such as a 40-column thermal printer, a 4-color printer/plotter, and a 300 baud modem, were released. The Aquarius was discontinued in October 1983, only a few months after it was launched. #retrogames #mattel #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com - CHAPTERS 00:00 Mattel Aquarius? 00:35 Cool Daughter 02:28 All the Stuff 03:22 Aquarius PC 06:13 Mini Expander Kit 07:33 Memory Expansion 08:02 Nightstalker 09:39 Assembly 11:43 Power On 12:05 BASIC Programming 13:02 Nightstalker

Star Trek: Strategic Operations Simulator is a space combat simulation arcade video game based on the original Star Trek television program and movie series, and released by Sega in 1983. The original arcade game uses color vector graphics for both a 2D display and a 3D first-person perspective, and features synthesized speech. The player controls the Starship Enterprise and must defend sectors from invading Klingon ships. The game was manufactured in two styles of cabinets: an upright standup, and a sit-down/semi-enclosed deluxe cabinet with the player's chair modeled after the Star Trek: The Motion Picture's bridge chairs with controls integrated into the chair's arms. Star Trek was ported to the Commodore 64, TI-99/4A, Atari 8-bit computers, Atari 5200, Atari 2600, VIC-20, ColecoVision, and Apple II. #atari #retrogaming #startrek #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com
