Atari 2600 STAR TREK: Strategic Operations Simulator | What’s NOMAD Doing Here?

Star Trek: Strategic Operations Simulator is a space combat simulation arcade video game based on the original Star Trek television program and movie series, and released by Sega in 1983. The original arcade game uses color vector graphics for both a 2D display and a 3D first-person perspective, and features synthesized speech. The player controls the Starship Enterprise and must defend sectors from invading Klingon ships. The game was manufactured in two styles of cabinets: an upright standup, and a sit-down/semi-enclosed deluxe cabinet with the player's chair modeled after the Star Trek: The Motion Picture's bridge chairs with controls integrated into the chair's arms. Star Trek was ported to the Commodore 64, TI-99/4A, Atari 8-bit computers, Atari 5200, Atari 2600, VIC-20, ColecoVision, and Apple II. #atari #retrogaming #startrek #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com

Intellivision’s PAC-MAN from Atarisoft | ATARI’s Own Port Showcases INTELIVISION’s Strengths!

In 1983, Atari decided what was good for the goose was good for the gander. Just as Mattel had formed M Network to publish software for the Atari VCS, Atari realized it could leverage its properties and publish to other platforms, too. Thus was born Atarisoft. One high-profile title ported to their main competitor's platform was Pac-Man for the Mattel Intellivision - and as you'll see, it just might have backfired. #atari #retrogaming #intellivision #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com

Atari 2600 LASER GATES from Imagic | “I, For One, Welcome Our New AI Overlords!”

Laser Gates is a side-scrolling shooter for the Atari 2600, developed by Imagic in 1983, where players navigate the "Dante Dart" through a "cryptic computer" to destroy four failsafe detonators and save the universe. Notable details include its rare nature, gameplay elements like energy management and diverse enemies (radar mortars, homing missiles, and laser gates), and a variety of obstacles such as flashing force fields and jagged walls. Players must collect energy pods while carefully avoiding shooting them, manage their shields, and time their movements to navigate flashing, flexing, and closing laser gates. #atari #retrogaming #genxgrownup - SHOP http://genxgrownup.com/amazon http://GenXGrownUp.com/merch - PODCAST http://GenXGrownUp.com/pod - SUPPORT US https://patreon.com/genxgrownup - WEB & SOCIAL http://GenXGrownUp.com/discord https://twitch.tv/genxgrownup http://fb.me/GenXGrownUp https://bsky.app/profile/genxgrownup.com https://www.tiktok.com/@genxgrownup https://www.instagram.com/genxgrownup/ http://GenXGrownUp.com - SPONSORS King of Nerds » http://kingofnerds.tv Order of Cosmic Champions » http://www.orderofcosmicchampions.com
